Established in 1991 Trans-Bridge Freight Services is a privately owned company currently employing 43 people at its Chadderton Depot. Operating a fleet of vehicles ranging from vans to “air ride” 44 tonne artics. All these vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking devices and in cab communication to maximise flexibility to meet customer demand whilst considering the environment. A vigorous vehicle replacement programme ensures we are keeping pace with technology to satisfy not just our own but our customer’s expectations in reducing our carbon footprint.

Operating from a 5.5 Acre site housing a 22,000 sq. ft transit warehouse protected by security fencing and remotely monitored thermal imaging C.C.T.V. cameras. Site security is a key factor to some of our clients which is satisfied by 24/7 remote monitoring service and CRB screening. All our drivers, warehouse staff and operational team members are trained in GDP (Good Distribution Practice) and the carriage and handling of Hazardous Goods. ISO 9001 certification has been held since 1993 confirming our determination to offer a quality driven service.

Trans-Bridge Freight Services currently meets the Irish demands of many National and Multinational “Blue Chip” companies in both UK and Europe who will supply references to potential client if so required. Both our Manchester and Antrim sites hold WDA (Wholesale Distribution Authorisation) licences and MHRA GDP Certification for both Human & Veterinary products. External auditing and self-inspection has become part of our DNA in order to meet the exceptionally high standards set by our clients and regulatory authorities in regards to quality and compliance. Quality for us, has become a culture, not just a department.

Technology is a key part of our corporate strategy our bespoke IT systems allows customers to link directly by either web portal, EDI file or direct interface. This provides customers with a user-friendly range of options to book consignments, transfer data, view pods and produce bespoke reporting and onsite labelling. Deliveries actioned with handheld terminals facilitate live delivery data allowing more accurate KPI reporting.

A shared interactive software platform in our operations office allows the team to monitor levels of freight throughout the day in order to plan, prioritise and determine shipping routes. As the system is interactive all members of the operations team can access the information providing full visibility and transparency of freight at all times.

Working closely with out IT development team we are constantly improving our bespoke Information Technology systems to allow us to provide a logistical solution tailored to your needs, something that our competitors that utilise big brand TMS systems struggle to provide.
